Wilde Bar & Restaurant

Overview

Wilde Bar & Restaurant at 3130 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60657, United States is one of those spots that feels like a hidden gem in the heart of the city. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance hits you-a perfect blend of cozy charm and modern sophistication. I remember visiting on a rainy Thursday evening, and even then, the place was buzzing with locals catching up over drinks, giving off a welcoming, lived-in vibe that immediately makes you want to stay longer.

The menu here is where Wilde Bar & Restaurant really shines. Every dish is crafted with attention to detail, combining fresh, locally sourced ingredients with innovative flavor combinations. One personal favorite is the roasted chicken with truffle mashed potatoes. The chicken is tender, juicy, and infused with a subtle herb mix that balances perfectly with the creamy, buttery potatoes. A friend who’s a self-proclaimed foodie tried the mushroom risotto, and he couldn’t stop raving about the rich, earthy flavors paired with just the right hint of Parmesan. These experiences highlight the consistent quality that keeps diners coming back.

Drinks at Wilde are just as impressive as the food. The cocktail list is creative, featuring both classic concoctions and signature mixes unique to the bar. For instance, the smoked old fashioned they serve is crafted with precision-each sip offers a smooth balance of sweetness and smoky depth that pairs beautifully with the savory dishes on the menu. On another visit, I noticed a group of regulars enjoying a wine flight, which allows guests to sample small pours of curated wines. It’s a smart way to explore flavors without committing to a full glass, and the staff are always ready with knowledgeable recommendations.

Speaking of staff, the service at this location stands out. They manage to be both professional and personable, often remembering returning guests and their preferences. According to customer reviews and feedback, this attention to detail and the welcoming approach makes a lasting impression. In fact, Wilde Bar & Restaurant frequently appears in local food blogs and guides highlighting top dining spots in Chicago, which reinforces its reputation as a trustworthy and reliable choice for both casual outings and special occasions.

The location itself adds another layer to the experience. Being on N Broadway, it’s easily accessible from multiple neighborhoods and offers a lively street view that complements the interior’s warm atmosphere. It’s particularly enjoyable during weekend evenings when the surrounding area comes alive, making it a great spot for people-watching while enjoying a meal. For those curious about parking or public transit options, the area is well-connected, though checking ahead for peak times is always wise.

I’ve also noticed that Wilde Bar & Restaurant makes a conscious effort to cater to different dietary needs without compromising taste. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are thoughtfully prepared, and the presentation never suffers. For example, their roasted vegetable flatbread is a colorful, flavorful dish that even non-vegetarians appreciate, showing a real understanding of menu diversity and customer satisfaction.

Beyond the food and drinks, the overall experience at Wilde feels intentional. The decor, lighting, and layout are designed to encourage conversation and relaxation. The subtle music in the background, combined with the attentive service, creates a space that’s equally suitable for date nights, casual meetups, or solo visits with a good book.

Every visit to Wilde Bar & Restaurant reinforces why it consistently earns high praise from both locals and visitors. The blend of carefully crafted dishes, expertly mixed drinks, and warm, professional service demonstrates a level of dedication and expertise that is rare in many urban dining spots. Whether it’s a spontaneous dinner, a weekend brunch, or a planned celebration, this restaurant delivers a memorable experience that engages all the senses, leaving you eager to return for more.

Wilde Irish Bar is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is super chill, and the outdoor seating area is perfect for a relaxing evening out. The food? Spot on! We had some amazing Irish classics, and everything was cooked to perfection. I love that it's a laid-back spot, you know? It's the perfect place to unwind and catch up with friends or family. The service was top-notch too - our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. If you're in the mood for some great Irish grub and a relaxed vibe, Wilde Irish Bar is the way to go. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Had Thanksgiving dinner here and loved everything about it. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, the energy was merry, it was cold and snowing outside and I can't imagine a more idyllic place to celebrate the holiday away from family and friends. I'll be back on a regular night to try more menu items.

This place is conveniently located across the street from the laugh factory. There is an outside area to eat. The inside has a very nice ambience and not too bright, candlelight and huge tables from the large parties. The drinks were made exceptionally well definitely wasn’t lacking in the liquor department.I ordered the salmon mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were a little undercooked, but that was a remedied with another side of asparagus that was cooked a little better. All in all I would definitely recommend this place.

What a gem place! Enjoyed a delicious evening (sat in the library area!) Had the cheddar artichoke dip, a reuben and shepherds pie. The atmosphere was a delight and we will definitely visit again.

Wilde is a decades old establishment that anchors the southern and of Lakeview just a minute or so south of the busy Belmont and Broadway intersection. The interior has a warm and comforting, though creative, feeling and the delightful Outdoor seating area provides space to watch passersby. Lots of food choices to please diners of all persuasions and many cocktails, wines and beers to choose including several on draft. We enjoyed the shepards pie and an Asian salad, that was large enough to share. Both were flavorful and filling. Parking is always tricky in this neighborhood, however there are plenty of options via the CTA. Reservations are recommended during peak dining times like weekend brunch and evenings.

Inspired by Oscar Wilde, this place is half Irish restaurant and half literary reading spot β€” bright wood accents and leather during the day, dark broody candle light in the evening. If it’s available ask to be seated in the library, on a separate section up the steps between the shelves. Their pints are poured right, great food, courteous people working there, Kaylee (sp?) took us at the back bar on a packed Saturday night, was quick, nice, perfect. Shouts out to her
